mangia: divine meal en plein air

A long overdue lunch with an old friend, and I found myself sitting outside, in the sun, with amazing company =)

The menu had fresh fish, burgers, and salads... I ordered a wild Alasken Salmon & M ordered a Seafood Nicoise. Let's just say, we were enjoying the meal so much, the only interuption, was her adorable baby son.

The Chef is George Georgiades who was the chef at Avra. The Service was nice, and we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon.

mangia: cold spring? warm up to Barbecue Asian Style!

I had a friend who wanted to grab some food at the village, and since the temperature that day dramatically dropped, we headed to my favorite area of the village, 9th St & 3rd Ave.

On 9th St, there is this 2 story barbecue steak house that allows you to cook up some tasty chicken or ribs. We lucked out in scoring a 2 person table, most of the tables are for 4 people and they put up a divider. Upon entering, you have to remove your shoes, so no Manolo's please!

We had privacy and the best sizzling food that literally filled us both up. My friend couldn't even touch the ice cream that was part of her meal, and I, well let's say I sampled the red bean ice cream =)
