mangia: French Diner, French Pomme Frittes

The perpetual question of where to dine for brunch?

Decor is typical Diner. Food choices, we liked the healthy option of egg whites with salad, sans potato, and reduced fat cheese.

The service was completely ridiculous. Rarely do I witness huffing & puffing at an eatery. Menus were thrown down, requests were forgotten, place settings were missing, thank god we were just amused at the waiter's antics, but noticed the busboy was more diligent with our party.

The pros? Their Rye toast was delicious, but that's a nod to the bakery. The eggs were ok & I think there are better places to go in the meatpacking district. I believe this will be my first & last visit to Florent. I wouldn't count the waitstaff to lighten up, like our new friend said: Sunday is not a day to get mad at. We're letting it slide too!
